Thanks for the wonderful article on the Navajo-Jewish family in Bethesda [“Where is it Thanksgivukkah year-round? At home with the ‘Nava-Jews,’ ”Style, Nov. 28]. I’m Jewish on both sides, am a member of the National Museum of the American Indian and I support the American Indian College Fund. I feel an affinity between Jews and American Indians. We are ancient cultures that have become minorities. Both cultures need to be preserved as the world becomes more homogenized. As the Jews have prospered in this exceptional country, my hope is for American Indians to do the same.
