Regarding the July 29 front-page article “Day cares, parents feeling squeezed in Fairfax”:
I cringed at the repeated use of the phrase “day cares” in this article. This awkward, slang-ish shorthand is clearly below The Post’s standards. What’s wrong with correct phrases such as “day care homes” or “home day care facilities?” Are you trying to save ink? Yeesh.
