Election cartoon draws fire

Clay Bennett’s Nov. 10 Drawing Board cartoon, captioned “Election Night,” showed an apparently wealthy, and unhappy, man watching election returns while surrounded by unabashedly happy members of his household staff.

The selection of this cartoon is one more contribution by The Post to the cause of class warfare. One shouldn’t forget that this unhappy gentleman is providing jobs for his staff, as well as paying into their Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid funds.

As a small-business owner employing the same number of people, I feel his pain.

Clay Bennett’s “Election Night” cartoon fits perfectly with President Obama’s class-warfare campaign. Maybe if Mitt Romney had won, we could have had an America in which everybody smiles.
