April 13

Regarding the April 11 World Digest item “Voice of America silenced in Moscow”:

Since Russia has silenced Voice of America, shouldn’t we bar Russia Today from access to our cable channels and take the Voice of Russia off our airwaves?

But wait a minute. Such a tit for tat would deny me access to news, events and perspectives that I don’t get from local media. So let Russian President Vladimir Putin play his childish Cold War games, and let us keep our media open in keeping with our history and our values.
