Lewis Grizzard’s definition of ‘nekkid’
In his Nov. 29 Washington Sketch column, “Laying bare the facts about “fiscal cliff’,” Dana Milbank quoted a quip from Alan Simpson: “If you’re naked, you don’t have any clothes on,” he explained, “but if you’re nekkid, you don’t have any clothes on but you’re up to something.”
I am sorry that Milbank chose not to attribute this very funny thought to its originator, the late great writer and humorist Lewis Grizzard. He is gone but not forgotten.
