The article about acid attacks occurring in Colombia [“ Women of Colombia victimized by acid attacks ,” front page, Aug. 4] was gruesome and entirely about women — except for one startling sentence in the middle of the long description about efforts to estimate the number of victims: “The state’s forensic science institute registers more than eight cases a month, though most involve male victims, many of whom were assaulted by muggers using acid as a weapon.” There is only this one reference to male victims. When is The Post going to consider that males are as worthy of compassion as females?
