Since when is an organization such as the Family Research Council — which has been designated a “hate group” by the Southern Poverty Law Center — a legitimate source for comment on a new museum of gay history [“Couple hopes to help tell the LGBT story,” Sunday Arts, Jan. 13]? The next time a new museum of Jewish history is in development, should we expect The Post to check in with a local neo-Nazi group for its opinion? We’ve long since passed the moment in history where mainstream news organizations reflexively paired anything even remotely pro-gay with anti-gay rhetoric from bigoted extremists. Why is The Post still locked in the past?
