In the June 11 Metro article on American River Taxi, a passenger complained that the ride took too much time. According to the caption with the photo, the boat’s operator was navigating down the Potomac River to get from the Southwest waterfront to Washington Harbour in Georgetown. Perhaps if he pointed the boat upriver, the trip wouldn’t take as long.
