On the basic question of personal popularity, former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney and former House speaker Newt Gingrich get roughly equally positive ratings from conservatives, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll.
This Washington Post-ABC News poll was conducted by telephone November 22 to 27, 2011 among a random national sample of 1,007 adults, including users of both conventional and cellular phones. The results from the full survey have a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points. Sampling, data collection and tabulation by SSRS of Media, Pa. NOTE: Due to rounding, results may not add to 100 percent, and percentages may not equal combined results. Groups are not displayed if fewer than 100 people in the category were interviewed
