After months of aggressive campaigning on jobs and the economy, President Obama and Mitt Romney, his likely GOP challenger, are locked in a dead heat over who could fix the problem foremost on voters' minds.
This Washington Post-ABC News poll was conducted by telephone May 17 to 20, 2012, among a random national sample of 1,004 adults, including landline and cell phone-only respondents. The results from the full survey have a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points. Sampling, data collection and tabulation by Abt-SRBI of New York.
