Public opinion continues to shift in favor of same-sex marriage, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll, which finds initial signs that President Obama's support for the idea may have changed a few minds.
This Washington Post-ABC News poll was conducted by telephone May 17 to 20, 2012, among a random national sample of 1,004 adults, including landline and cell phone-only respondents. The results from the full survey have a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points. Sampling, data collection and tabulation by Abt-SRBI of New York.
