James Monter had to use one hand to vote and the other to hold his restless 2-year-old son, Conner, at his polling place in the Republican stronghold of Independence, Ohio. It took about a half-hour for Monter to vote. He put the "I Voted" sticker on Conner later and said, “I was in the military, and I know how earned the right to vote is.”
