Why He Matters
Rhoades is a veteran Republican political operative, who in 2010 took the helm at Mitt Romney's Free & Strong America PAC. Rhoades signed on with Romney at the beginning of the 2008 presidential campaign, and he will likely play an important role in the 2012 campaign, should Romney decide to run.
Rhoades graduated from Syracuse University in 1997 and began his political career at the Republican National Committee. He was on hand in the 2000 Florida recount as an RNC research analyst, and after George W. Bush was sworn in as president, Rhoades worked for a couple of years at the White House, first as an associate director for presidential personnel, then as a White House liaison for the Office of Personnel Management.
