Obama pushes jobs plan in tour of N.C. and Va.
Less than a week after the Senate blocked his $447 billion American Jobs Act, the president is taking a three-day bus tour of North Carolina and Virginia.

President Obama greets soldiers at Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Hampton, Va. Obama accused the Republican opposition of spreading "misinformation" about his jobs proposals, saying that only the wealthiest Americans would pay more taxes. Obama is on the last leg of his campaign-style bus tour to rally support for his economic proposals, which have stalled in Congress. Obama said the vast majority of Americans would see a tax cut under the bill -- a $447 billion proposal aimed at reviving economic growth and lowering the 9.1 percent unemployment rate.
