D.C. politics July 2012 Washington post poll
D.C. Power outages and Pepco ratings
In this poll:
A majority of District residents believe Pepco did an unsatisfactory job restoring power after the June derecho.
Poll Questions
Q: Thinking about the strong storm that hit the D.C. area at the end of June, did you happen to lose power where you live, or not?
No opinion
Q: (If lost power) Was your power out for more or less than 24 hours? (If more) How many days were you without power? (Based on all respondents)
Q: (Intro for half of respondents: Given the severity of the storm) How would you rate the job PEPCO did in restoring power after the storm -- excellent, good, not so good, or poor?
Q: One way to limit power outages in the city would be to bury power lines underground, which may cost about six billion dollars. How much extra would you be willing to pay on your monthly electricity bill to do this?
