The Washington Post - ABC News poll

Question 21 of 47

In this poll:

The political risks of extended joblessness in the country and the financial stresses felt by many Americans are becoming clearer in President Obama’s bid for another four-year term. White voters hit by job loss over the past few years -- either themselves, a family member or a close friend -- say Republican Mitt Romney would do more than Obama to advance their families’ economic interests. Obama has the edge on this question among those not buffeted by unemployment.

This Washington Post-ABC News poll was conducted by telephone May 17 to 20, 2012, among a random national sample of 1,004 adults, including landline and cell phone-only respondents. The results from the full survey have a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points. Sampling, data collection and tabulation by Abt-SRBI of New York.
