Roesler Defends Comments on Possible Greek Debt Default

- Sept. 14 (Bloomberg) -- German Economy Minister Philipp Roesler speaks to reporters in Rome about his comments on a possible Greek debt default. Roesler said in an op-ed published in Die Welt newspaper on Sept. 12 that there can be no "taboos" when considering action "to stabilize the euro in the short term," including a Greek insolvency. He also discusses today's conference call between German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Nicolas Sarkozy and Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou. ()
