White Says Bernanke Will `Hope for the Best' on Economy

June 7 (Bloomberg) -- Lawrence White, professor of economics at New York University's Stern School of Business, talks about today's speech by Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke and financial regulation. Bernanke said record monetary stimulus is still needed to boost a "frustratingly slow" recovery and repeated that a rise in inflation is likely to prove temporary.
