White House Protester maintains 31-year streak despite Hurricane Sandy

October 29, 2012 7:38 PM EDT Since 1981, Connie Piccotto's White House Peace Vigil has stood across Pennsylvania Ave. from the White House.  But if it is not occupied, the protest risks losing its spot.  So volunteers have taken up the cause by shacking up in a makeshift shelter to help Piccotto ride out Hurricane Sandy.
