BOUNDARIES: Columbia Pike to the south, Walter Reed Drive and Fillmore Street to the west, Arlington Boulevard (Route 50) to the north and Washington Boulevard to the east.

SCHOOLS: Henry Elementary School, Thomas Jefferson Middle School and Wakefield High School.

HOME SALES: On average, the area’s homes sell for $600,000 to $700,000, said Susan Minnick, an agent with McEnearney Associates,. A new five-bedroom house could sell for $900,000 or more, while a small three-bedroom bungalow might go for $500,000.

WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE: Arlington Cinema N Drafthouse, Arlington National Cemetery, Army Navy Country Club, Pentagon Row shopping center, the Market Common at Clarendon.

WITHIN 15 MINUTES BY CAR: Georgetown, the Kennedy Center, the Mall, Reagan National Airport, Old Town Alexandria.

TRANSIT: Penrose is served by several bus lines within the neighborhood as well as on Columbia Pike and is less than two miles from the Clarendon Metro station.
