BOUNDARIES: Route 229 on the north, the Berry Hill Manor neighborhood on the east, the Friendship neighborhood on the west and open space on the south.

SCHOOLS: The neighborhood is served by William A. Diggs Elementary School, Theodore G. Davis Middle School and North Point High School.

HOME SALES: In the past 12 months, 11 houses have sold in the neighborhood at prices from $185,000 to $355,600, according to Mike Petras, an agent with Showcase Real Estate. There are currently three houses on the market, with asking prices from $239,999 to $275,000 and two houses under contract, with asking prices of $180,000 and $224,000.

TRANSIT: Commuters can ride the W19 Metrobus from nearby Accokeek to the Southern Avenue Metro station, or park and ride at the St. Charles Towne Center for Maryland Transit Administration buses to downtown Washington. In Charles County, VanGO stops just north of Laurel Branch at the Berry Hill Manor subdivision.
