An Annapolis waterfront estate is up for auction

A four-level, 12,000-square-foot estate set on a 6.24-acre private cape on the South River in Annapolis will be auctioned on May 24.

The custom-designed home, at 1234 Cherry Tree Lane, is surrounded by water on three sides and has a 360-degree view of the river, a tributary of the Chesapeake Bay.

The house has six bedrooms, five and one-half baths, formal living and dining rooms and a tower with a third floor sitting room with panoramic views accessed by a spiral staircase.

The grounds include 1,600 feet of shoreline, expansive lawns with Japanese cherry blossom trees, a 150-year-old oak tree, two boat houses, a private dock and an in-ground pool and pool house.

Even the cars are pampered at this property, which has eight heated parking stalls in the garage.

The estate is open for viewing by prospective buyers from 1 to 4 p.m. on May 23 or by appointment with DeCaro Luxury Real Estate Auctions. The property was previously listed at $8.99 million and will be sold to the highest bidder at the 11 a.m. auction.

For more information about the auction, call 800-332-3767 or visit www.DeCaroAuctions.com.
