Job growth will create need for more housing

With projected job growth of almost 1.1 million positions in the next 20 years, jurisdictions in the Washington area will need to add more than 730,000 housing units, according to a George Mason University study. The study does not take into account the impact of possible federal spending cuts or changes in federal housing policy.

Projected job growth in the area will increase the demand for housing.
