Navigating the market: a seller’s dream

Homebuyers in the D.C. area searching for affordable housing are running into an all-too-common problem: There are too few homes available for less than $400,000, as low mortgage rates and high rents have pushed demand to an all-time high.

When searching for a home in the District for $400,000, you need to act fast. “The reason we were able to get what we finally got was because we were able to react quickly,” said Eva Su, who owns a condominium with her husband. “We were able to know what we wanted as soon as we saw it.”
