HOME SALES: According to Kevin Joseph, a real estate agent with William Sawyer and Co., demand is relatively high for homes in 14th Street Heights; the neighborhood’s housing stock is generally well maintained, and the location is fairly convenient. As in many other communities in the District, however, inventory is tight. For example, in the broader 16th Street Heights neighborhood, which is roughly twice as large as 14th Street Heights, only 23 properties are on the market. The average sales price this year is $610,000; renovated rowhouses typically sell for 550,000 to $650,000, but some could go for more.
