With the weather improving, bicyclists are out and about, taking advantage of Montgomery County’s robust number of trails and routes. To make it easier for residents and visitors to plan a ride, the county has published a Bikeways Map, a go-to resource that lays out the location of bike lanes and scenic trails alike. Riders can print out maps of the route or zoom in to the aerial photography for a closer look at the path.

There are more than 2,500 bicycles available in Washington, DC, Alexandria and Montgomery County, Maryland. Check out a bike for your trip to work, Metro, run errands, go shopping, or visit friends and family. Join Capital Bikeshare for a day, 3 days, a month, a year or try our new daily key option, and have access to their fleet of bikes 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The first 30 minutes of each trip are free. Each additional 30 minutes incurs an additional fee. If you’re just looking for a 24-hour joyride, rent a bike for just $7.
