The People’s Burger: ShackSauce from Shake Shack’s ShackBurger

In the grand tradition of the famous “special sauce” at McDonald’s, Shake Shack‘s proprietary condiment is an orangy, mayonnaise-based spread that adds a touch of mystery along with its attendant tang. It’s composed of mayonnaise, ketchup and … what else exactly? We’ll leave that to Internet sleuths to debate; what matters is that ShackSauce is largely responsible for the signature taste of the ShackBurger, ($4.75 for a single patty, $7.30 for a double).
