The BracketBusters event features 71 games between so-called mid-major teams in search of an RPI boost:

Davidson vs. No. 24 Wichita State

Coach Gregg Marshall, above, leads one of the nation’s hottest teams, the Shockers, who beat No. 11 UNLV by 19 early in the season and defeated Creighton by 21 last Saturday. The Wildcats have a road win against No. 4 Kansas in Kansas City, Mo., under their belt. Noon, ESPN2

No. 16 Murray State
vs. No. 21 Saint Mary’s

The Racers won their first 23 games of the season, but could use a win over the Gaels to boost their NCAA tournament résumé. Saint Mary’s looks to rebound from its loss Wednesday to Loyola Marymount. 6 p.m., ESPN

Creighton vs. Long Beach State

The Bluejays lead the nation in field goal percentage and set the Missouri Valley record by shooting 77.5 percent in their 88-69 win over Southern Illinois on Tuesday. The 49ers have played a diabolical nonconference schedule, with games against Pittsburgh, Louisville, Kansas, North Carolina, Xavier and Kansas State. 10 p.m., ESPN2
