HACKENSACK, N.J. — Lonnie Robinson paced Fairleigh Dickinson with 17 points as the Knights beat St. Francis (Pa.) 79-69 in overtime Saturday night in Northeast Conference action.

Fairleigh Dickinson (7-9, 2-2) led 61-60 heading into the final minute of regulation, but Umar Shannon made a layup and Stephen Whyatt added two free throws to put St. Francis (1-14, 1-3) ahead 64-61 with 33 seconds left.

After Robinson missed a 3-point try, Mustafaa Jones grabbed the rebound and sank a trey to tie it at 64 with 20 seconds left in regulation. Shannon missed a jumper at the other end with 4 seconds remaining, and the teams proceeded to overtime.

The Knights got consecutive three-point plays from Xavier Harris and Sidney Sanders Jr. early in overtime. Earl Brown sank a free throw and a layup for the Red Flash, but then Sanders’ layup sparked a 9-0 Fairleigh Dickinson run to close out the scoring.
