Eaton just short of an Olympic record

Ashton Eaton finished 24 points from the Olympic record set by Czech Roman Sebrle in 2004. Unlike Sebrle, who excelled at the throwing events, running is Eaton’s strength. His 100-meter time is the fastest ever in an Olympic decathlon. Read related article.
