Skinny

Watkins Mill won its final 12 league games to take the county’s 3A/2A title last season, and the Wolverines should be near the top again in a usually tight race with fourth-year starter Grant and 6-foot-4 senior swingman Alex Sotomayor leading the way. . . . Papagjika and senior guard Kirby Carmack were Poolesville’s top two scorers last season. Playing quarterback, Carmack led the Falcons to the football playoffs this fall.. . . Damascus brings back all five starters, including three-point marksman Woody and physical forward Rashard Budd. ... Seneca Valley (13-10) has a first-year coach in Tony Harrison and an entirely different lineup after graduating its top six players. Rockville (10-14) also has new leadership with former assistant Steve Watson taking over for G.J. Kissal, who moved on to Clarksburg.
