Though Gwynn Park lost key players — including Caira Washington, who transferred to Georgetown Day — the Yellow Jackets are the early favorite to contend in the conference. Two-year starter Lucas will be joined by returning starters Tiana Hall and Kristian Brown . . . . Perennial contender Largo will rely on Derica Souder and Keena Samuels; the Lions lost second-team All-Met Jessica Lyons and other key contributors to graduation. . . .
Surrattsville returns three starters and will be led by Hill, senior guard Christina Briscoe and sophomore forward Chanea Butler. . . .
