Skinny
The area’s most competitive league might take things to another level this season. Three-time defending league champion DeMatha is led by Robinson (Pittsburgh) and Grant (Syracuse) and might have the area’s best inside player in 6-9 junior BeeJay Anya.. . . Gonzaga brings back three starters, led by Britt (North Carolina) and 6-6 junior F Kris Jenkins.. . .
Paul VI has four players who have accepted college scholarships, led by Holloway (George Mason) and also features highly-regarded junior G Stanford Robinson. But those three teams will have plenty of challengers. O’Connell has one of the region’s top backcourts with sophomore Romelo Trimble and junior Will Ferguson.. . . St. John’s features G Soren Dossing, while Carroll has experience throughout its lineup, including F Justin Alston and G Raphael Jennings.
