For the second week to start its season, Coolidge will not be playing a football game as originally scheduled.
Coolidge was set to host McNamara on Friday night in its home opener. But at 11 a.m., Coolidge officials called McNamara to inform there was no security assigned for the game, according to McNamara athletic director Tony Johnson.
McNamara officials also spoke with DCPS interim Athletic Director Willie Jackson, Johnson said.
Johnson said Friday night that both schools were working to possibly move the game to Saturday morning. But both he and Coach Bryce Bevill confirmed later Friday night through text message that the game was instead canceled.
Coolidge Athletic Director Keino Wilson did not return messages seeking comment.
Last week, Coolidge postponed its season opener against Carroll only to cancel it days later, saying DCPS officials didn’t allow them to play on Monday.
