Friendship Collegiate trounces KIPP, 51-0, in DCSAA semifinal

“This was his best game, by far,” Friendship Collegiate Coach Aazaar Abdul-Rahim of the senior White, who was 12 for 15 and recorded all five of his touchdowns in the first half. Running back Jonathan Haden rushed eight times for 70 yards.
KIPP (8-3) entered the day on a five-game winning streak, but turned the ball over five times and couldn’t get any pressure on White. Friendship led 39-0 at halftime.
“[White] had all day to pretty much sit back there and pick us apart,” KIPP Coach Trey Walker said.
Defensive back Jordan Washington provided both touchdowns for Friendship Collegiate in the second half, returning an interception 42 yards and recovering a fumble in the end zone for another score. Defensive lineman Yannick Ngakoua added three sacks for the Knights defense. Friendship and Dunbar will kickoff at 1:30 p.m. at Howard University on Saturday, marking the first meeting between the two schools in three seasons.
