Preview: Maryland Crab Bowl

What: Fifth-annual Maryland Crab Bowl

When: Friday, 7:30 p.m.

Where: Prince George’s Sports & Learning Center

Tickets: $20 at the door, $15 online, Students with ID $10, children six-and-under free

Notable players: Most of the local players will represent the Washington team, coached by South River’s Lance Clelland. The roster features three 2012 All-Met selections in Quince Orchard linebacker Marcus Newby (Nebraska), Damascus kick returner Zach Bradshaw (Virginia) and Suitland wide receiver Taivon Jacobs (Ohio State). Newby and Jacobs are not expected to play because of injury. The Washington team has won three of the first four Crab Bowls. Six Howard County will play for the Baltimore team, led by Moise Larose, the Wilde Lake All-Met offensive lineman who is orally committed to the University of Maryland.
