Central-Woodstock at Loudoun Valley

At state: A berth in the Virginia 3A East region final
Watch for: Loudoun Valley running back Andrew Cordani is back after separating his shoulder nearly a month ago. The junior tailback ran for 127 yards and a touchdown in Saturday’s 3A East region quarterfinal win over Hopewell. The Vikings defense is its staple, and Conference 28 co-defensive player of the year linebacker Brandon Grayson is a fundamental tackler with a keen nose for the football. Cornerback Marcus Oden has five interceptions this season for the Vikings secondary, he also ran for over 100 yards in the 3A East first-round win over William Monroe.
Central (10-2), located in the northern Shenandoah Valley, runs a multiple offense led by strong-armed 6-foot-3 quarterback and Conference 28 player of the year Hayden Bauserman.
Skinny: Loudoun Valley (10-2) has won 10 games for the first time in school history, the school was founded in 1962, and the Vikings find themselves in unfamiliar territory playing in a region semifinal. Home field advantage should help.
