National Signing Day 2013: D.C. area’s top football recruits make their decisions final

Good Counsel’s Kendall Fuller, Stone Bridge’s Jonathan Allen and E.J. Levenberry of Hylton are among those who will make their college commitments official by signing letters of intent on Wednesday.

Kendall Fuller, Good Counsel

The wide receiver/defensive back and All-Met Offensive Player of the Year is considered a five-star recruit by Rivals. Despite racking up 695 yards as a WR his senior season, Fuller broke up two passes during the Army All-American Bowl and was named National Defensive Player of the Year. He has made an oral commitment to Virginia Tech.

Jonathan Allen, Stone Bridge

The reigning All-Met Defensive Player of the Year is regarded as one of the top two defensive linemen in the country. The fearsome pass rusher amassed 119 tackles, eight sacks, seven passes defended, six fumble recoveries, and five blocked kicks in his senior season. He has committed to Alabama.

Matt Rolin, Briar Woods

The linebacker was chosen to play in the Under Armour All-American Game, but his senior campaign was cut short by a knee injury. The Rivals four-star recruit initially committed to South Carolina in May, but in December reversed course and announced his intention to become a Florida Gator.

Dorian O’Daniel, Good Counsel

An All-Met linebacker in 2011 and All-Met running back in 2012, O’Daniel gained 1,307 yards and scored 18 touchdowns in his senior season. Will play linebacker for Clemson.

The tight end led the Falcons to a third straight Virginia AA Div. 4 title with 56 catches for 937 yards and 11 touchdowns. Will play for Wake Forest.

The two-time All-Met, had 1,065 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns in his senior season. As a defensive back, had six interceptions. Likely will play wide receiver for Ohio State.

The quarterback threw for school-record 2,473 yards and 28 touchdowns in leading his team to the Virginia Division 5 final. Will play for Stanford.

Zach Bradshaw, Damascus

The All-Met wide receiver originally committed to Penn State but flipped his commitment to Virginia after NCAA sanctions were brought against the Nittany Lions. Bradshaw scored nine total touchdowns for the Swarmin' Hornets on offense, defense and special teams.

Teammates at the tiny Gaithersburg school, Ibrahim (above) and Veii (center) have put Avalon on the recruiting map this winter. Ibrahim will sign with Pittsburgh while Veii is still weighing his options between Maryland, Nebraska and Iowa heading into Wednesday.
