Prince George’s County football: League breakdowns
By — Steve Yanda, — Eric Detweiler and — Paul Tenorio,
Prince George’s 4A
Favorite: Suitland (10-2).
All-Met senior wideout Taivon Jacobs, who orally committed to Ohio State this summer, and senior running back Anthony Squire return to lead the Rams’ high-octane offense.
Best rivalry: Suitland offense vs. C.H. Flowers defense. Last season, only one team held Suitland’s offense — which averaged 32.7 points per game — to fewer than 20 points. Flowers did it twice, including when the Jaguars upset Suitland in the playoffs, 14-7.
Players to watch: WR Taivon Jacobs, Suitland (5-11, 175, Sr.); RB Chase Powell, Wise (5-7, 165, Sr.); WR Larry Smith, C.H. Flowers (6-1, 180, Sr.); RB Anthony Squire, Suitland (5-8, 195, Sr.); RB Darius Victor, Northwestern (5-8, 195, Sr.).
