Being a young cancer patient is “a club that no one wants to belong to but once you’re here, you’re family,” according to I’m Too Young For This!, an online cancer support community. There’s the irreverent “Stupid Cancer Show” every Monday at 8 p.m., a talk-radio webcast that deals with issues particular to cancer patients ages 15 to 40. Visitors to www.stupidcancer.
com can also find a blog, discussion forums and the schedule of in-person meet-ups all over the country, such as last month’s happy hour at Bar Louie in Chinatown. Founded in 2007, I’m Too Young For This! is an unparalleled resource for cancer patients in their teens, 20s and 30s.
