He is an assistant professor of political science, coordinator of public policy studies and interim director of the Center for the Study of Democracy at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. He specializes in American politics, institutions and policy -- with a focus on the political and policy legacies of the Great Society. Before joining St. Mary’s, he was a senior analyst with the Hilltop Institute, a health-policy organization based at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). Eberly received his PhD in public policy from UMBC.
