NORFOLK, : US President Bill Clinton attends a memorial service for victims of the explosion on the USS Cole 18 October, 2000, at Norfolk Naval Base in Norfolk, Virginia. The apparent terrorist attack in Yemen left 17 American sailors presumed dead and 39 injured. Defense Secretary William Cohen, Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Hugh Shelton and Attorney General Janet Reno also attended.
