Argon ST is currently searching for a Systems Engineer to work out of our Fort Meade, MD location.

Be part of an exciting multi-functional team providing full life-cycle engineering and technical development support to modernize and enhance the operational infrastructure of a specialized customer at Fort Meade, MD. The Systems Engineer will design, develop, integrate, test and evaluate system, subsystem, and component solutions to meet current and future customer mission infrastructure requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with other engineers, technicians, and support staff to ensure that our customer's mission critical needs are met in a creative, efficient, and effective way.

Basic Qualifications:

- US citizenship required 
- Active TS/SCI required; ability to pass Full Scope Polygraph
- Five (5) years experience performing engineering design, development, integration, testing, evaluation or support of complex hardware/software systems for Government or Industry customers

- Two (2) or more years of software development using enterprise technologies (e.g. JEE) and enterprise centric design patterns.
- Experience with Agile methodologies/SCRUM
- Strong UNIX background
- Understanding of SOA principles and Web Services technologies


Other Requirements:

- A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or physics is highly desired but will not count towards the five (5) years significant experience.
- Ability to work in a proactive and efficient manner preferred. 
- Experience with SQL, Eclipse, Struts, MVC, EJB, XML, JSP, JDBC a plus.
- Experience with an enterprise development platforms (JBoss, WebLogic, WebSphere, Oracle) a plus
- Enterprise Development Frameworks (Hibernate, Seam, Struts, JSF, Facelets, Spring) a plus
- Familiarity with management technologies (JMX, SNMP, CIM, ITIL,
WS-Management) a plus
- Experience with workflows or BPEL based business process automation engines a plus
- Experience with developing Java and JEE apps using Eclipse IDE a plus
