The Field Engineer is responsible for Defense Red Switch Network (DRSN) engineering and technical support for the US Navy DRSN switches, US Navy ships/shore sites, and Air Force DRSN site. Perform DRSN installations following the Shore Installation Process Handbook procedures and guidance and ensure all the appropriate measures have been taken to safeguard the network and equipment. Provide DRSN technical expertise and respond to DRSN Fleet Casualty Reports (CASREP). Provide engineering solutions to resolve DRSN system and equipment failures/problems. Support on-sites Operation and Maintenance DRSN technician during schedule vactions and emergencies; DRSN O&M support covering overall maintenance tracking and reporting outage isolation responsibilities at primary switch location and remote locations; switch operation and administration; scheduled, unscheduled, corrective maintenance, fault isolation, and restoration at remote locations. DRSN installation and configuration: Integrated Service Telephones, Multifunction Digital Adapters, UDLT Multiplexers, Cryptographic devices, CSU/DSU equipment IAW DISA policies and procedures. Associates Degree, equivalent Military DRSN technical training and/or certification of training. Minimum 5-8 years of DRSN experience; (Enhanced Remote Switch Unit, Secure Digital Switch-1 and Digital Small Switch) Cryptographic devices: ANDVT, STU-III/R, STE, KYV-5, KIV-7, KG-84, KIV-19, KG-194, KY-58 TS/SCI Security Clearance Required Travel is required Secure Voice/Communications experience on any multiple listed equipment/systems is a plus: TASS DDNDR MMT SDU SVPA (V)1 SMRT-2B TSS TSG MITEL |
