GDIT is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join its organization of IT professionals. An active Top Secret clearance with Full Scope polygraph is required. The selected candidate will work in a team of storage administrators and SAN Managers to install, configure and manage HDS and EMC arrays, VTGL technology, Cisco MDS, Brocade, and McData hardware. Candidate may be responsible for the administration of several large backup servers. Experience in system administration of various UNIX and/or Windows environments is highly desirable. Requires BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline. Certification in system administration (MCSA, Solaris, or RedHat Linux) is highly desired. Requires 8-10 years overall experience with 3-5 years experience with SAN technologies. Experience in backup/archive/restoration of large enterprise database systems, i.e. Oracle and Sybase, along with file-based systems such as Microsoft Windows.
