| Position Requirements | |||||||||
| Lead developer for a government FIMSA reporting system (SMART). System is base on MS-SQL; MS Server 2000/2003, and Oracle technology. Makes modifications to the SMART application and associated database to facilitate business changes. Ensures the database and web-enabled user application can collect and process data. Both the database and application components will be modified and/or developed using industry accepted best practices in database design and software application development methodologies. Performs Maintenance and Operations: maintain the SMART applicattion to include routine database maintenance; application availability and problem resolution; backups; redundancy support; maintain patches and all software updates; and ensure hardware requirements are maintained to include updates and installations of new equipment when necessary. Knowledge of FISMA requirements, including: POA&Ms, C&A Process; Security Control Assessments (SCA); OMB requirements and NIST guidance. | |||||||||
| Qualifications | |||||||||
| BS in Computer Science, a related discipline, or equivalent experience. 5-10 years of experience. Required Technical Skills: MS-SQL; MS Server 2000/2003, MS Office products; ColdFusion, and Oracle. Other Desired Technical Skills: Adobe Acrobat, Active Reports, Crystal Reports, ColdFusion Markup Language (CFML); HTML and CSS; ASP; JavaScrip and Java Applets; DreamWeaver MX 2004; and web development tools. Knowledge of Object Oriented Design and programming; and Integrated Development Environment tools Non-Technical Skills: Knowledge of FISMA requirements, including: POA&Ms, C&A Process; Security Control Assessments (SCA); OMB requirements and NIST guidance. Team player who works well with others, good understanding of and ability to read and write English, presents themselves well in front of a customer and patient with others. Ability to speak in a clear, concise manner. High Public Trust background investigation will be performed. | |||||||||
