The Energy Efficiency group is a leader in designing and implementing effective and innovative demand side management strategies, including energy efficiency, demand response, and peak load management. Our thorough understanding of our clients’ needs enables us to help energy companies, governments, and commercial clients worldwide to manage energy consumption and peak demand.
To support our growth we are currently seeking an Account Manager for our Energy Efficiency group with specific responsibilities in HVAC. In this role you will work for utility energy efficiency programs focused on residential markets. You will assess energy conservation savings potential, work with various contractors, distributors, builders and suppliers, research and analyze data and technical information related to HVAC systems, conduct building surveys and life-cycle cost analyses, and be involved with marketing and communications activities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct outreach to HVAC contractors, distributors, trade associations and other HVAC professionals in order to educate as many of them as possible about the HVAC programs and recruit them as program allies. Outreach will include group presentations, individual meetings, telephone outreach and e-mail communications.
  • Provide ongoing program support to HVAC professionals, consumers and other interested parties to resolve questions and issues and to maximize program participation.
  • Provide ongoing utility client support as needed. Support will include program reporting, meeting attendance and other client communication as needed.
  • Assist as needed with development and/or revisions of program-related documents, procedures and other program elements.
  • Closely coordinate efforts with additional ICF staff, both locally and remote, and in particular to maintain a presence in the ICF office in Detroit, subject to availability while performing field-based duties such as HVAC industry outreach.

Additional Qualifications:
  • A Bachelors degree (Concentration in Engineering or Energy-related degree preferred)
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency and US policies for residential energy efficiency
  • Experience with measurement and verification, project cost accounting, and estimating desirable.
  • Industry certifications, professional affiliations, and publications are a huge plus (e.g., NATE, ACCA)
