The Energy Efficiency group is a leader in designing and implementing effective and innovative demand side management strategies, including energy efficiency, demand response, and peak load management. Our thorough understanding of our clients’ needs enables us to help energy companies, governments, and commercial clients worldwide to manage energy consumption and peak demand.
To support our growth we are currently seeking experienced Technical Professionals for our Energy Efficiency group to grow ICF’s energy efficiency programs, throughout the state of Maryland. Technical professionals should be experienced and have strong qualifications in industrial and/or commercial building energy efficiency. You will participate in multiple energy efficiency programs, build relationships with energy-users, mentor junior staff, and design and help implement energy efficiency strategies and plans.
Key Qualifications:
  • 6-8 years of experience helping to design and carry out successful energy efficiency programs and projects, with specific expertise focused on the commercial and/or industrial sectors
  • Technical experience and expertise with building or industrial mechanical, building envelope, and facility utility systems and/or industrial process energy efficiency and Renewables.
  • Experience designing and implementing strategic energy efficiency and demand reduction programs
  • Outstanding analytical, writing, and communication skills and excellent interpersonal and management skills are required

Key Skills:
  • Experience in designing and managing energy efficiency projects and programs
  • Energy efficiency project identification and analysis, including technical and financial evaluation
  • Energy efficiency project and program implementation including development and execution of detailed and effective implementation and management plans for commercial and/or industrial end-users
  • Ability to carry out and oversee energy audits and surveys
  • An understanding of energy management, regulatory support, design, account management, and engineering.
  • Computer proficiency
  • Strong analytical skills, and strong oral and written communication skills
  • Organized, detail oriented, ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Additional Qualifications:
  • A Bachelors degree (Concentration in Engineering - Mechanical or Electrical preferred - or Energy Resources, Sciences, Policy, Business) required / Masters preferred with 6-8 years of relevant experience
  • CEM, CLEP, LEED AP or other recognized energy efficiency certifications a plus
  • Candidate must be organized, flexible, hard-working, and committed
