Description:

ICF International is currently seeking an IT Asset/Configuration Manager to support our growing Corporate Information Technology group in our Fairfax headquarters.
Responsibilities:
  • Formulate and implement processes and procedures for tracking and analyzing technical and financial data of company software, hardware, and equipment from requisition through retirement.
  • Track and maintain copies of software licenses, warranties, maintenance agreements, and vendor contracts.
  • Develop, establish, implement, and enforce supplier and outsourcer guidelines, obligations, and service level agreements to the organization.
  • Compare licenses, warranties, maintenance agreements, and vendor contracts against audits to ensure company’s legal compliance and asset upkeep, upgrades, repair, and replacement.
  • Enter all software and hardware serial numbers or identification tags into database/repository/asset management software and ensure information is up-to-date, accurate, and auditable.
  • Perform inventories and usage monitoring of all IT assets and record all findings, changes, physical location, and incidences of support.
  • Assist Procurement Manager in developing and managing sourcing strategies for the organization.
  • Identify opportunities for volume purchasing to obtain price breaks.
  • Explore opportunities for maximizing or exploiting unused or partially used IT assets to achieve full efficiency and ROI from company resources.
  • Investigate equipment or software under consideration to determine ROI and total cost of ownership throughout product lifecycle.
  • Define purchasing recommendations that support business goals, in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Research industry best practices and compare against organization’s practices in order to establish benchmarks for managing IT assets.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms and conditions of sale, and warranties of goods and products with key suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions of contracts with contractors and/or service providers.
  • Establish policies and procedures for tracking the sign-in and sign-out of mobile assets, such as laptops, PDAs, and other devices.
  • Develop strategies and external relationships to implement plans for auctioning, recycling or otherwise selling obsolete assets.
  • Monitor and analyze trends in company spending and inventory control in order to make recommendations for the future, and to identify areas for possible savings and/or asset optimization.
  • Effectively communicate asset management strategies to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.

Qualifications:
  • At least 3-5 years of asset management experience within a corporate environment
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
