IT Asset/Configuration Manager

Description:

ICF International is currently seeking an IT Asset/Configuration Manager to support our growing Corporate Information Technology group in our Fairfax headquarters.
Responsibilities:

Formulate and implement processes and procedures for tracking and analyzing technical and financial data of company software, hardware, and equipment from requisition through retirement.
Track and maintain copies of software licenses, warranties, maintenance agreements, and vendor contracts.
Develop, establish, implement, and enforce supplier and outsourcer guidelines, obligations, and service level agreements to the organization.
Compare licenses, warranties, maintenance agreements, and vendor contracts against audits to ensure company’s legal compliance and asset upkeep, upgrades, repair, and replacement.
Enter all software and hardware serial numbers or identification tags into database/repository/asset management software and ensure information is up-to-date, accurate, and auditable.
Perform inventories and usage monitoring of all IT assets and record all findings, changes, physical location, and incidences of support.
Assist Procurement Manager in developing and managing sourcing strategies for the organization.
Identify opportunities for volume purchasing to obtain price breaks.
Explore opportunities for maximizing or exploiting unused or partially used IT assets to achieve full efficiency and ROI from company resources.
Investigate equipment or software under consideration to determine ROI and total cost of ownership throughout product lifecycle.
Define purchasing recommendations that support business goals, in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
Research industry best practices and compare against organization’s practices in order to establish benchmarks for managing IT assets.
Negotiate pricing, terms and conditions of sale, and warranties of goods and products with key suppliers and vendors.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions of contracts with contractors and/or service providers.
Establish policies and procedures for tracking the sign-in and sign-out of mobile assets, such as laptops, PDAs, and other devices.
Develop strategies and external relationships to implement plans for auctioning, recycling or otherwise selling obsolete assets.
Monitor and analyze trends in company spending and inventory control in order to make recommendations for the future, and to identify areas for possible savings and/or asset optimization.
Effectively communicate asset management strategies to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.

Qualifications:

At least 3-5 years of asset management experience within a corporate environment
Outstanding customer service skills
Excellent oral communication skills
Bachelor’s degree preferred
