In this position candidates will strengthen their knowledge of the fundamentals of IT support and the practice of software maintenance and support.
Key functions:
Learn and apply new technologies to a changing environment
Work in a team environment to develop and integrate innovative solutions
Provide hands-on software expertise for multiple programming languages and system environments
Communicate technical information
High school degree.
High school graduate with IT related work experience. Should be working toward undergraduate degree in Information Technology or related field.
Candidates should be working towards an undergraduate degree in Information Technology or a related field, including:
Personal computer software and hardware (installation or removal, configuration control, and usage)
Candidates should have exposure through course/project work or prior-coop experience
Knowledge of or prior hands-on experience with IT support
Knowledge of network maintenance and troubleshooting
Experience with team-oriented support work
*This position will require overnight travel up to 10 % of the time.
*Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance. For this position, MITRE will consider only applicants with security clearances or applicants who are eligible for security clearances.
