Key Functions	In this position candidates will strengthen their knowledge of the fundamentals of IT support and the practice of software maintenance and support. Key functions: Learn and apply new technologies to a changing environment Work in a team environment to develop and integrate innovative solutions Provide hands-on software expertise for multiple programming languages and system environments Communicate technical information
Required Education/Experience:	High school degree.
Desired Education/Experience	High school graduate with IT related work experience. Should be working toward undergraduate degree in Information Technology or related field.
Required Skills:	Candidates should be working towards an undergraduate degree in Information Technology or a related field, including: Personal computer software and hardware (installation or removal, configuration control, and usage) Candidates should have exposure through course/project work or prior-coop experience
Desired Skills	Knowledge of or prior hands-on experience with IT support Knowledge of network maintenance and troubleshooting Experience with team-oriented support work
Travel Statement	*This position will require overnight travel up to 10 % of the time.
Clearance Statement	*Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance. For this position, MITRE will consider only applicants with security clearances or applicants who are eligible for security clearances.
